About New Energy Vehicle
On August 10, 2012, the world’s first supercapacitor light rail train was produced in Zhuzhou，Hunan province. The new electrical train can carry up to 320 people, without high-voltage power lines along its way and can be quickly recharged after a 30-second stop. After charging, the train can travel at high speed towards the next station 2 kilometers away, and then get passengers on and off whiling charging, so on and on.
On December 6, 2016, the tram subsidiary of CRRC in Zhejiang has designed and produced a trolley for the City of Graz in Austria, which is 18-meters long with ultra-capacitor power supply (two trolleys in total). The new trolley started its first testing operation at 34E, a 3.5-km test line. With a capacity of 135 people, the tram uses 60000 farad supercapacitors as its main power and adopts quick charging pattern. Quick charging stations are set up at one end and the middle of the testing line, and l-type charging piles are built. When the vehicle arrives at the station, it will be automatically raised by the electric bow, and the charging process will be completed within 30 seconds when the passenger are getting on and off the bus. This trolley can operate continuously in 24-hours.
